Banker Exchange Celebrates Women’s History Month

2024 Empowering Women & Women of Influence Logos

As Women’s History Month unfolds, we at Banker Exchange take immense pride in celebrating our recent recognitions: the Empowering Women Award and the GSA Women of Influence Award received by our President, Shonna Felkel. These accolades not only honor individual excellence but also reflect our firm’s dedication to fostering an environment where women can thrive and lead.

Banker Exchange: Focused on Women’s Empowerment

Under Shonna Felkel’s current leadership, Banker Exchange represents what it means to truly support and elevate women in the professional realm. Our predominantly female-led team showcases the firm’s commitment to going beyond representation to actively encourage growth, leadership, and excellence among our staff. We champion equal opportunities, recognizing and nurturing the professional and personal development of our female employees.

Our initiatives extend to mentoring, where we support our team members’ involvement with organizations like the Urban Land Institute of South Carolina (ULI), Commercial Real Estate Women of the Upstate (CREW), and the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA). These efforts are exemplified by success stories within our team, such as Caroline Chandler’s transition from Exchange Coordinator to Business Development and Jamie Kingdom’s noteworthy election to the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA) Board of Directors, highlighting the nurturing environment we’ve cultivated.

Tackling Inequality and Fostering Community Engagement

Banker Exchange’s ethos of community service is driven by a holistic approach to social responsibility along with a longstanding commitment to the local community. Our participation in initiatives like Project Joy and Harvest Hope Food Bank directly impacts the lives of women and children in our community, embodying our belief in the transformative power of community involvement.
